What we collect

When you sign up for our email list, volunteer, or submit a story, we collect the information you provide (such as name, email, and the content of your submission). We use this to communicate with you, coordinate volunteering, and (with your consent) to publish or use your story in advocacy materials.

Please do not include sensitive personal details about children or others that you would not want shared. We encourage parents to avoid naming minors, staff, or a specific school in public-facing stories.

Consent (CASL)

By signing up for our email list, you consent to receive electronic messages from Support Ontario Schools about our campaigns and related education advocacy. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or contacting us.

How we use your data

We do not sell your personal information. We use it only for the purposes described above and to improve our site and campaigns. We may share anonymized or aggregated data in reports; we will not identify you personally without your permission.

Storage and security

Submissions are stored in our website database and used only by Support Ontario Schools organizers for advocacy-related purposes. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Analytics and cookies

We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this site. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy.

External links

Our site links to third-party resources (e.g., reports, campaigns, government pages). Those sites have their own privacy practices and policies.

Retention

We retain your data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes above. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so within a reasonable time, except where we must retain it for legal or operational reasons.
